  • How do you apply your Teruko Ikeda training in your life and work?

I was part of the Teruko Ikeda Advanced ICT training last 2011. We did Python programming. Being a computer science student at that time, the knowledge I gained helped me a lot in accomplishing my Thesis Research project. The teruko-Ikeda-ICT training didn't just help me technically, but the group of former trainees also became a big part of my Research project, as they graciously shared their time and agreed to be my respondents for my study. Currently, i am working as a Software Developer. Since the nature of my job is entirely focused on Programming, I am able to apply the programming-related matters that I learned. Setting aside all the technical-related things, perhaps the greatest impact of this ICT training in my life is the fact that it helped boost my self-confidence. Generally, the whole Malaysia experience left an unforgettable mark that changed me as a person. it helped me to become mature and independent. I learned how to adjust to situations and with people of different cultures.

  • Most memorable experience during the Teruko Ikeda ICT Training

Memorable experiences are countless. I can't even point out one. That was the first time I travelled abroad alone; that's unforgettable. All the memories I shared with all the people I met; Mr. Wong, Ms. Christina, Anna, Mr. Wan, every single moment with them was indeed memorable.  Also, the friendship that I have established with my fellow trainees. Being the only girl and the youngest in the group, I was intensely pampered. I'll never forget how all of them treated me with so much care and respect. In spite of the cultural differences, we managed to build very good relationships.
