Application Is Now Open For The Teruko Ikeda ICT Training 2017

The Japan Braille Library is now accepting applications for the 14th Teruko Ikeda ICT Training 2017. There will be 2 programmes this year i.e. 1 Intermediate Level and 1 Advance Level. For Intermediate Level Programme, participants should arrive in Penang, Malaysia on  Saturday 24 June and return home on Monday 10  July 2017. As for the Advance Level Programme, participants should arrive in Penang, Malaysia on Friday 8 July and return home on Sunday 23 July 2017.

Congratulations to all the successful applicants.  Those who are not yet selected can try to apply again next year as long as you are not yet 35 years old. Thanks for your continuous support and interest for this training programme.

Application Is Now Open For The Teruko Ikeda ICT Training 2016 

The Japan Braille Library is now accepting applications for the Teruko Ikeda ICT Training 2016. There will be 2 programmes this year i.e. 1 Intermediate Level and 1 Advanced Level.

For Intermediate Level Programme, trainees should arrive in Penang, Malaysia on  Saturday 9 July and return home on Saturday 23 July 2016. As for the Advanced Level Programme, trainees  should arrive in Penang, Malaysia on Saturday 23 July and return home on Saturday 6 August 2016. 

SELECTED TRAINEES FOR THE TERUKO ICT TRAINING PROGRAMME 2015 

The Selection process for the Teruko Ikeda ICT Training Programme 2015 was very competitive and challenging.  We received many applications from highly skilled blind and visually impaired computer users from the Asia-Pacific Region and excellent recommendations from the Teruko Ikeda Family.  The Selection Committee has decided to accept 8 trainees for the Intermediate Level and 10 trainees for the Advance Level for 2015.

The 10th Anniversary of the Teruko Ikeda ICT Training Program

This year, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Teruko Ikeda ICT Program. Congratulations and thanks to Ms. Teruko Ikeda, to the Japan Braille Library, and to all the organizers who have made this yearly program a success.

We would also like to welcome the trainees of the 2013 Teruko Ikeda ICT Trainings.

The Global Accessibility Awareness Day on May 9, 2013

Last year, the Teruko Ikeda ICT Group celebrated the first ever Global Accessibility Awareness Day on May 9. This year, as advocates of accessible online information, the group is continuing to support this special global event by holding various accessibility-related activities in Asia and the Pacific.
